Drew is 33

Drew turned thirty three! We had a great birthday party celebrating his oldness. I love how excited the boys get when Drew is opening his presents. Sam picked out a game for them to play together and he asked over and over again when "we" could open up the birthday presents. Drew's cake literally set off the smoke alarm. Well, I have set grandma's alarm off a hundred times because it is so sensitive, but it was still perfect that it went off with this cake! So much fun!

Isaac Lost His First Two Teeth!

Isaac lost his first two teeth on Wednesday. It's actually a sad story. Diane called me at work and I could immediately tell she was very upset. She said Isaac and her had a collision with the door and Isaac was hit in the mouth with the door knob. Isaac was screaming in the background. Poor Isaac had both teeth knocked out at the root. The dentist had to give him novocaine to numb his mouth so he could pull out the roots. Thankfully they were his baby teeth. Poor boy! It looks so weird because the space is so huge. Since Sam just lost his front teeth last year, Isaac will probably go without front teeth for a few years! After the tooth fairy brought him money, Drew asked if he wanted Grandma to knock out another tooth so he can get more money. Isaac said, "No! It hurts really, really bad to lose teeth!"

Lucas' First Birthday Party!

Let me start by saying, worst birthday party ever! Lucas freaked out when we put the cake in front of him. He ate one bite once he was on my lap, and then hated that too. He threw the presents we put in front of him. This is not what I imagined when we planned his party. I thought I would get lots of cute pictures in his cute little birthday clothes. At least Grandma thought it was funny. She said it was the worst party she has ever been to too. That says a lot because who knows how many parties she has been to in her lifetime!

Halloween

We had such a great Halloween this year! Drew was at school taking a final. Who schedules a test on Halloween?! This year Sam was a ninja, Isaac was Yoda, and Lucas was a lion. Lucas fell asleep about 15 minutes into trick or treating and slept through it all.

Football Season is Here!

Baseball Season is Over

Since baseball season is over, we are posting some of Sam's best baseball pictures. He is getting so good! He is in football now and we miss the warm games from the summer as we sit on the sidelines and freeze!

First Day of Preschool

Isaac had his first day of preschool on Tuesday. I love bringing him to school with me each morning. He loves going to preschool. He brought home a colors worksheet and laughed because he had to help his teacher put the colored stickers where they go because she doesn't know her colors yet!

Stewart Falls Hike

This Labor Day weekend, our family hiked to Stewart Falls. This was Lucas' first hike and he did really well for the first half. On the way down, he decided he didn't want to be part of it anymore and had to be carried down crying. Isaac fell numerous times and Sam said he had to go to the bathroom really bad. We "thought" that meant #1, so we told him to just go along the side of the trail quickly. Well, we shouldn't just assume things that could lead to embarrassment when other people come to pass us on the trail. So three crying kids later, we made it to the bottom of the mountain! It was beautiful and still a great way to spend the day as a family.
